Bonfire of the Heart

Tattooed Love Songs

I asked when she would come
and the sound of her sighs filled mountain peaks
the soft whisper wind of wishes
 flooded black mountain lakes
she is caught & tied in southern exposure
 wheels stuck in everyday duties
 dreaming dreams
 of soft strong woman shoulders
 lit by soft moonlite

my passion colored skin is
 complete with ancient flowers
all this and more flash behind
 her summer eyes
come on i begged
  lose the logic
and lets paint passion a brand new shade

  lets tattoo love songs
   on each other hearts..
let have reckless abandon
                                            & wanton soul fusion
lets not look forward or back
   just inside
  and crack open
   our stainless steel hearts...
